We shall ignite our pupils' scientific curiosity so as to confidently explore, discover and explain the world around them. Both practical and enjoyable, our comprehensive curriculum will inspire and excite our budding scientists of the future, asking them probing questions, to extend on their already solid foundations.
Let’s get experimenting!
It is the intention that our scientists at St. Peter’s Primary Academy will be explorers and innovators for the next generation. We will equip them with a deepening understanding within the three key scientific areas: physics, chemistry and biology. Using their prior learning, they will draw upon fundamental principles to ask insightful questions to hypothesise about future learning. Through practical investigation, they will be exposed to a wealth of learning opportunities in order to gain a thorough understanding of the scientific world and how they fit into it. We will foster their ability to question and challenge preconceptions. They will look at pioneering scientists that have come before us and how they shaped the future of the human race.
Science, to us, has and always will be, a ‘hands – on’ learning experience. Using the engaging and interactive experiments, they will expand and diversify their scientific understanding.
Science is the key to understanding our world and further beyond. We - as educators - open the doors of opportunities to our budding scientists.
