Welcome to Year 6, a special and memorable final year of primary school where pupils grow in confidence, maturity and readiness for the next stage of their education.

In Year 6, we are incredibly proud of all that our pupils achieve. They work hard across a broad and engaging curriculum, developing not only their academic skills but also their confidence, resilience and sense of responsibility. Children are encouraged to aim high, take pride in their work and celebrate their successes.

A key focus of the year is ensuring pupils are fully prepared for the transition to secondary school. We support them in becoming independent learners who can manage their time, organise themselves effectively and approach new challenges with confidence. Through a range of opportunities, including discussions, visits and transition activities, children are helped to feel excited and ready for the journey ahead.

Year 6 is also a time for developing leadership and teamwork, as pupils take on responsibilities within the school and act as positive role models for younger children.
